Howdy folks – happy new year! I’ve been struggling a bit to get back into the flow of writing to you all, but some things you just have to start and the spark will come back to you.
How has the new year been treating you so far? For me, same shit new day – but I have to say 2023 feels different and my prayer is that God will show up and show out for me and my family.
I’ve set a few goals for myself that are going to stretch me beyond my comfort zone in many ways. Charting a new professional path into project management for one. This is something I’ve discovered that I LOVE to do. Organizing chaos is kinda my thing. I don’t get rattled very easily (and when I do, my poker face is pretty strong). This career path will be lucrative and also put a little swag on my name to say the least.
I get bored quickly – and projects have a clear beginning and end then on to the next. I love that. Herding cats is my specialty, hell I have 14 years experience with that being a mom.
Also, this year I would really like to be done losing my weight. This is something that I’m finding to be more difficult than I anticipated. Honestly, I have been going ball to the wall for over a year and I feel like I need to take my foot off the pedal for a little bit. The problem is I’ve already told my coach my plans aaaannnd she won’t let me off the hook that easy. Time to buck up and get it done!
And lastly, I started a new podcast with a good friend of mine! We are talking about ALL THE THINGS being Black women, wives, moms, sisters, friends and everything in between! It’s been a ton of fun and I want you to get in on the hilarious conversations. If you like free form podcasts and just random girl talk – give us a listen. So here’s to 2023! I don’t know what kind of things I will be writing about – a little of this and a little of that so buckle up buttercup!
